New therapies in electrophysiology, imaging, interventional vascular and endoscopy markets are requiring our industry to integrate more functionality into less space. Miniaturization and the integration of intricate sensors is a key challenge. As a manufacturing and development partner, we offer our customers new technologies for this quickly changing landscape.

“At Freudenberg Medical, we understand the difficulty in handling delicate sensors in complex assembly processes. We recognize the need for manipulating the architecture and stacking of tolerances for these fragile components that experience both strain and compression simultaneously,” said Dr. Mark Ostwald, President of Freudenberg Medical Minimally Invasive Solutions. “Through our experience, we understand best how to cope with varying temperatures, and the need to refine processes to make them more repeatable and better tuned for manufacturing.”

Our strategically expanded capabilities position Freudenberg to work with sensors such as temperature and pressure sensors, entire sensor arrays, and fiber optic sensors. With our vertically integrated catheter development and manufacturing capabilities, Freudenberg Medical is the partner of choice for smart catheters and transcatheter systems.  Read our case study
