Freudenberg Medical Adds Double Braided Tubing to the HelixMark® line of Platinum-cured Silicone Products
New fluid transfer solution for elevated pressure and high temperature applications
Carpinteria, California – April 27, 2016 – Freudenberg Medical, a global manufacturer for the medical device and pharmaceutical industry, has added Double Braided Silicone Tubing to its HelixMark® line of platinum-cured silicone products for the pharmaceutical and bioprocessing market. Double Braided Tubing is a strong reinforced tubing solution, ideal for elevated pressure and high temperature fluid transfer.
“We use a multi-step process to integrate two layers of braided polyester between three layers of USP Class VI extruded silicone,” said Mark Ostwald, Vice President & General Manager of Freudenberg Medical. “Resulting in a high strength, high purity silicone tubing perfect for biopharma fluid processing.” Double Braided Silicone Tubing is constructed to prevent kinking and compression as well as withstand elevated temperature and pressure.
