Helix Medical Receives Bronze Award for Product Innovation

Black Tubing, a UV blocking extrusion, honored at Senetics Innovation Awards

Carpinteria, California – April 2, 2013 – Helix Medical, LLC, a global manufacturer for the medical device, pharmaceutical, and IVD industries, received the bronze award last month for “best innovative product already on the market” for the healthcare sector at the Senetics Innovation Awards. The company received the honor for its Black-jacketed Tubing, a custom silicone extrusion with an opaque exterior layer which blocks all light. The pharmaceutical tubing is ideal for use with photosensitive drugs or light sensitive fluids. The annual Senetics Innovation Awards was held in Bayreuth, Germany on March 20th ; over 240 applicants from all over Europe were entered into the competition. René Heilmann, Director of Marketing at Helix Medical Europe, accepted the award on behalf of Helix Medical.

Black-jacketed Tubing is a custom extrusion manufactured to a customers’ exact specifications including ID/OD sizing and packaging format. The tubing is available with a choice of USP Class VI silicones; select from Dow Corning, Wacker, Nusil, Momentive, and Blue Star. Material certification and lot traceability is included with every package. Black-jacketed Tubing is part of the HelixMark® line of platinum-cured silicone tubing and fluid handling components used in the pharmaceutical, bioprocessing, and IVD markets.
