Helix Medical and MedVenture Technology Announce Name Change to Freudenberg Medical
New brand underlines Freudenberg’s clear focus on medical markets
CARPINTERIA, Calif. − August 10, 2015 − The Freudenberg Group strengthens its commitment to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries by introducing Freudenberg Medical as its new umbrella brand. Helix Medical and MedVenture Technology are now called Freudenberg Medical. The new brand emphasizes the business group’s role as a global development and innovation partner to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
Freudenberg Medical directs the activities of the Freudenberg Group into the fields of medical and pharmaceutical applications. Freudenberg Medical develops and manufactures specialty components and minimally invasive device solutions for medical device OEMs worldwide. Under the HelixMark® and PharmaFocus® Premium brands Freudenberg Medical offers silicone tubing and related products to the pharmaceutical industry. MedVenture Technology specializes in the development and manufacture of minimally invasive systems and catheters. Freudenberg Medical also develops and markets proprietary Ear, Nose & Throat applications under the InHealth® Technologies brand. As part of the Freudenberg Group and with over 40,000 associates around the globe, Freudenberg Medical has access to a unique network of research and development facilities and can support customers from material and design optimization to mass production of complete medical devices.

Today Freudenberg Medical has ten production sites located in the United States, Costa Rica, Germany, Ireland and China.
