Freudenberg Medical Recognized at Medical Device Design Excellence Awards
Jeffersonville, Ind. – October 17, 2016 − Freudenberg Medical is proud to have received design recognition for the Medtronic GastriSail™ Gastric Positioning System, a surgical device used in gastric and bariatric procedures.
GastriSail™ won a Bronze Award in the surgical equipment category at the 2016 Medical Device Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) held in June at MD&M East and Freudenberg Medical was acknowledged as the design partner.
The MDEA recognizes achievements in medical technology and winners must excel in areas of innovative design and engineering, manufacturing and technological innovation, clinical efficacy, cost-effectiveness, in addition to benefits to patients, end-users, and the healthcare industry. Learn more
