Freudenberg Medical Expands Silicone Operations in California
CARPINTERIA, Calif. – January 6, 2016 – Freudenberg Medical, a global developer and manufacturer of specialty components and minimally invasive solutions for the medical device and pharmaceutical industry, announces the expansion and enhancement of its extrusion and molding cleanrooms at the company’s silicone operations in Carpinteria, California.
The cleanroom enhancement project includes floor expansion, updated layout and optimized workcells to accommodate future growth, along with state-of-the-art cleanroom infrastructure technology. The extrusion cleanroom complies with ISO Class 8 guidelines.

The silicone extrusion cleanroom in Carpinteria also accommodates the following valueadded services: post curing, complex braiding and preforming, high precision cut-to-length, pigmented/striped tubing, barium sulfate mixing, laser marking, pad printing, packaging, assembly of tubing sets, and many other services.
