Freudenberg Medical Unites California Thermoplastic & Silicone Manufacturing Operations Under One Roof
October 31, 2025 -- Freudenberg Medical is strengthening its California operations to better serve customers by consolidating technology and engineering resources into one strategic location near Los Angeles.
In June 2026, all molding and extrusion equipment from the facility in Carpinteria, California will be transferred to the larger Freudenberg Medical manufacturing operation located in Baldwin Park, California.
This strategic move creates a more agile manufacturing environment, bringing together engineering, quality, and material experts at one single location in California. This will enhance collaboration, responsiveness, and the ability to scale quickly from development through commercialization.
The unified site will serve as a center of excellence for precision molding and extrusion, featuring advanced manufacturing technologies including:
Advanced micro molding and micro extrusion for miniaturized medical components
Bi-component (two-shot) molding combining diverse materials in a single part
AI-powered factory layout planning for optimized workstations and VR-based operator training
