History
Freudenberg Groups’s legacy spans more than 175 years since its founding in 1849. Freudenberg Medical’s journey began in 2004 with the acquisition of a silicone component manufacturer in the US. Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted global partner for advanced medical device and biopharma solutions.

- Acquisition of MedVenture In Jeffersonville, Indiana, USA, to add catheter manufacturing capabilities in the US
- Opening of a manufacturing location in Coyol, Costa Rica, to provide nearshoring services to the global customer base
- Joint venture with Cambus Medical, Galway, Ireland, to enter the metal tubing business

- Joint venture with Hemoteq in Aachen, Germany,
to enter the medical coating market - Acquisition of the silicone tubing business from Gore

- Acquisition of Merit Medical's hypotube business
